Thanks for downloading SmartMuve! Here's how to get started in a few easy steps.
SmartMuve is a smart reminder to move app that adjusts its reminders based on your steps. Set it and forget it - the app will do its thing on its own. To get started, follow these five easy steps:
1. Select the required permissions in your phone's iOS settings app.
2. Choose the time interval you want between reminders.
3. Choose when you want reminders to move.
4. Choose where you want reminders to move.
5. Turn it on!
Step 1: Select Settings
Open the Settings app on your iPhone (gear icon), scroll down and select the SmartMuve App icon.

Important - be sure 'Location' is set to 'Always'. If it isn't, the app will not be able to run in the background and you will not get reminders to move when you want them.
Also ensure 'Motion & Fitness' and 'Background App Refresh ' are enabled.
Set 'Allow Location Access' to 'Always'!
For steps 2-5, we will run through a quick example someone might use to set up reminders at work.
Step 2: Choose Delay Time
Open the app, and select the amount of time you want between reminders.
Step 3: Choose When You Want Reminders

Tap 'Select Operating Times'.
Choose what days and during what times you want reminders.

For this example, we want reminders while at work, so we choose Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm. Since we want reminders during these times, we select 'Whitelist' which means the app will send reminders only during these times.
Tap 'Add'.
Now our selection is saved.
Step 4: Choose Where You Want Reminders
From the Dashboard, choose 'Select Operating Locations'.
Tap 'Select Location'.
From this view, you can select your current address, search for an address, or tap the map for a point you want to use.
To search for an address, tap the address field. As you type, options will appear. To select the one you want, tap on the row displaying the address.
The blue circle shows the size of the area included in the selection.
You can also select your current location.
Alternatively, you can select any point you want by tapping on the map. Then tap the 'Point Selected from Map' option that appears.
By pressing and dragging, you can resize the affected area to be smaller or larger.
Once you have the area you want selected, go to the previous view and enter a name in the name text field. Press 'Add'.
Our location is saved. In this example, since we want reminders only while we are at work, we have selected 'Whitelist'.
Step 5: Turn Reminders On
On the dashboard view, toggle the main switch at the top. This will cause the app to begin sending you reminders, at your specified intervals, only within the time and location parameters you set, and only if you haven't moved around during the time interval.
You're all set! The app will continue to run in the background.
Handling a Reminder:
When a reminder to move goes off, you have two options to reset the clock. Option 1: tap and hold the notification.
In the drop down menu that appears, tap 'Dismiss'.
Option 2: Walk around for at least 10 steps. The clock will automatically reset. You can press the side button on your phone to silence the notification while you are doing this.
